Volunteer Work

Volunteer work is a great way to get back into the community and help others in need. It can also be an extremely rewarding experience for those who volunteer their time and skills. Doing volunteer work has many benefits, including developing strong relationships with the community and its members, increasing understanding of different cultures, learning new skills, and gaining valuable life experience. The Davison VFW Post 4087 is sponsoring a time and place for Combat Veterans to come together. Below are a few issues have been addressed in the past but by no means are limited to:

  • Do you feel like you really have no place and no one to talk with about your time in the Military Service
  • Do you feel disconnected from Family and Friends
  • Do you feel numb each and every day
  • Do you feel more comfortable and safe around fellow Veterans

We as Combat Veterans are committed to helping ourselves and other veterans achieve recovery and learn coping skills to deal with the psychiatric and adjustment problems we, as Veterans, face.

We rented the hall for our wedding reception, very nice and clean. I love that thy have the old Veteran's wall from the shop in the hallway of the hall, so I felt like my family was there with us, and thy have a beautiful setting (smoking area out back with a fire pit and picnic tables. Debbie is a sweetheart, (she let us come in the night before and set everything up) even though she was tired from the night before) she helped me through everything, she was accommodating and took a lot of the stress away for me!! I am so thankful for that..Our bartender Kimmy was great, she also helped take the stress away so we enjoyed our special night.. thy both went above a beyond to make our night awesome. I highly recommend this nice beautiful, clean VFW hall for your special occasions

The reservation, the amount of space, the area for bride and groom to get ready, and especially Debbie who runs the hall. Our wedding turned out exceptional and I highly recommend this place for any event you may need to rent space for.

We had our kid's grad party at the hall yesterday. The hall was very clean. The tables and chairs were set up before we got there. Debbie was very accommodating and helpful. A great place to host an event.
